Meet Marcy~

I’m Marcy, the creator of Ostara’s Hollow Botanical Apothecary, tucked in the charming town of Ashland, Virginia — affectionately known here as “The Center of the Universe.”

What began as a desire to bring calm, clear energy into my own home grew into a small-batch apothecary devoted to clean, soulful self-care. In 2019, I set out to make beautiful, non-toxic candles for families like mine who are sensitive to common ingredients. Each hand-poured soy candle is made with carefully chosen, safe ingredients: vegan soy wax, natural essential oil blends, and phthalate-free fragrance oils.

Then I may add a little alchemy — healing crystals, herbs, dried flowers, and intention — so every flicker of light becomes a quietly magical ritual.

At Ostara’s Hollow, I craft small-batch, artisanal candles with attention and heart. Personalized candles are available for special occasions or when you want something created and tailored just for you. I’ll collaborate on scent, label design, and finishing touches until it feels right.

  • My mission of honesty is simple and a little stubborn: I promise transparency in every jar, ingredient, and story. I label plainly and source ethically. No hidden fillers, no botanical “mystery.” Just clear origins, clean formulations, and straightforward care for you and the earth.

  • Integrity is a tenacious sunflower in fickle winds — steady and quietly right. It binds trust: without it, promises fray, relationships crumble, reputations fade. It guides choices, builds safety and respect, and keeps short-term gain from robbing long-term value. Integrity turns accountability into credibility, mistakes into lessons, and makes success and relationships feel earned.

  • Curiosity is the little mischievous breeze that slips open a window in the mind and refuses to leave until something new has been discovered. It keeps ideas from going stale, nudges routines into playful reconfigurations, and sprinkles ordinary days with the possibility of wonder. At Ostara’s Hollow, curiosity is our daily tending—pruning assumptions, propagating experiments, and potting up surprises that keep life fragrant and fresh. When you stay curious, every shelf becomes a cabinet of endless potential and every habit a seed waiting to sprout something delightfully unexpected.
